Thought for the week......
Think about the following :- What is a home ? Is it somewhere to live? or Is it more than just a house, trailer or tent? The French language has no word for home. Most commonly French people say “le foyer” meaning hearth or fireside to represent the home or “chez nous” meaning alongside or with us to represent being at home.
- A shelter? - Basic facilities? - People? - A family? - Parents or Guardians? - Brothers and/or sisters? - Loving relationships? - A sense of security? - Feeling you belong? - Shared responsibilities?
“Home is where the heart is.” What does this mean? Do you agree? Why? Why not? Bishop Hugh Blackburne said “As many hands build a house so many hearts make a home.” Is this true? Why? Why not? |
