Dame Kelly Surprises Pupils

On Tuesday 12th June 2007, the school was privileged to receive a visit from none other than The National Schools Sports Champion, Dame Kelly Holmes. The double olympic gold medallist from Athens spent an hour with pupils of High Ridge School, talking to them about their dreams and aspirations in sport. Read more about it and see the photos here.

Congratulations to Mr Oates & Miss Hearn who have recently been appointed as PE staff from September 2007/2008.

Congratulations also go to the Year 10 (Under 15’s) football team & Year 11 (Under 16’s) football team. The Year 10’s beat Huntcliff School 2-1 to win the Scunthorpe & District Schools Plate Competition whilst the Year 11’s beat South Leys 3-2 in extra time to win the Y11 Cup.
